Weddings were big events in the community, had a big dinner with a party afterwards. Uncle Wes Felts, Methodist minister married Lizzie and Will. They farmed on G.L. Parker's place. John Adair's place and then Mr. Mosley built a house on his property for them. Next moved to Grannie Williams place, Jewell died here. She was buried wrapped in a pretty new quilt. She was about three.
In 1907 farmed near Stiphenville. Sina Brown, Susie Milcherson, Margaret Lindsey and some of the Parkers were here.
Will and Lizzie were living with Gladys and Forrest Statum at Mt. Calm. They went to visit Arthur at Latham Springs and attended a Baptist encampment. They just got back to Gladys' and Will took sick and died. Lizzie was bed fast about 5 years before her death. She and Will are buried in the Dresdin cemetary. |
